Update from Bob Newbold RE: Belper Nailed it! Music Festival
​
"Today is the day to head for Belper for the BEST FREE MUSIC FESTIVAL OF THE SUMMER.
Covid has had a big part to play in us getting here today. We had to delay for two years, although we held a virtual festival at which some of today's acts performed.
There have had to be a few last minute changes, again Covid has played its part, but here is the final who's on where and when list.
We have 45 outstanding acts in five venues. There will be flyers available in each venue. Additionally Pete and Richard will be around with some more as will Bob, doing the sound at the Railway.

- SPECIAL DOUBLE ANNOUNCEMENT -

Today I'd like to officially welcome and introduce Dan Bacon as our new front man and guitarist, as well as welcoming back to the throne Peter Blatherwick as our drummer.
​
We've only had a couple of rehearsals so far last year due to Covid restrictions but I'm super happy that we have the right energy again and we're all committed.
​
Still many more rehearsals to go until we're gig ready at the moment (hopefully starting next week) but we're already itching to play live!!

I'm a bit late with this post folks, so forgive my tardiness -
After giving it much thought and consideration, I've recently come to the conclusion that my time within Kill The Moon has come to an end. Obviously, I leave under strange, unfortunate circumstances none of us saw coming, and it's a great shame we never got to play some of the great gigs we had planned.
My deepest gratitude and love to those who have supported us during the last few years; fellow musicians, venue owners, promoters, writers, and most importantly those of you who came to see us play our stuff and made each gig feel special!
Thank you, it's been a pleasure, I'll see you around!

Tonight we headlined The Chameleon, Nottingham for our single launch "Book Of Nothing" recorded by Kim Keeton (STKMY) at NIAHAS. We had some amazing support from Alice's Ants, Zadkiel and Alex Domonique. It was great to see a good turn out for a Tuesday night too considering that we had organised and promoted this night ourselves. Will Giddings did a fantastic job after having only a hand full of rehearsals with us, we can't thank him enough for standing in.

We had plans to use the studio facilities at The University of Derby today but it seems today just wasn't the day. A few technical errors later and we're still in the same situation. We did however manage to get some drum tracks from our last session, it may be that we'll have to record guitars and bass at NIAHAS in our own time which may limit us.

Today we start the process of recording our EP. We're recording at The University of Derby and we'll be focusing on drums today.
